Wildfire has always been a part of the southwest, but a century of fire suppression has resulted in devastating wildfires in recent years.  The U.S. Forest Service seeks to reduce the overabundance of fuels by using controlled (prescribed) fires.  These images were shot at night, and include wildfires and prescribed fires.
